Chasing Classic Cars
Discussion
Strikes me as a no nonsense bloke who really knows his stuff.
I enjoy watching him at the auctions, he never, ever gets fazed. Always cool as ice and isn't afraid to walk away from a car if the price isn't right. I'm not sure if there is going to be a new series. I hope so.
He also has an epic moustache.

Found this show a couple of weeks ago!
Set up the sky plus to record the episodes that are shown in the middle of the night!
Some of the cars are just gorgeous. What I want to know is how do people buy these cars ie in the 1950's then put them in a garage and they sit there gathering dust for 60 years. Madness!

It's interesting that a lot of the 'characters' on the white trash Discovery/History shows like Pawn Stars, Fast N' Loud, Counting Cars' etc. take celebrity acting roles in these shows to appear as part of the 'regular' team as in real life they are all minted and probably aren't seen by real-life customers. By contrast, whilst Wayne Carini is a more down to earth character, his show unashamedly focuses on his menagerie of Baby Boomer WASP clients clearly worth USD millions who are about to fall into the earth and either want to sell their collections in time, a widow whose husband died and wants to sell, or want to embellish their private collections.
It's really just a more exclusive, snooty and claustrophobic version of the other shows. I guess there's good in each one....

I like his mechanic as well - quite a character himself.
Roger Barr, quite a peddler in his day.

Yep it's a good show, real passion and knowledge.
And yes, new series is on now.
Did you see the old single cylinder bike he picked up I think in Mondays show? Basically an antique but he still rode it around his iced up forecourt.
His network has to be massive, he always knows someone who either wants or has a particular car.
Also he must do loads of travelling as well, America is not a small country.....

I think he has a house out in California as well as Connecticut. He's often over in CA for auctions and shows.
I like the different style auctions he goes to. You have the calm and businesslike British style ones and then there's the theatrical, American cattle auction style ones where the auctioneer gabbles too fast to be understood.
