First time I noticed it I think, was when the Robin Hood films came out in 1991.

Always smiled at when we get two films at the same time that are basically the same. biggrin

Tombstone and Wyatt Earp - 1993/1994.

Tombstone is far superior IMO.

Armageddon and Deep Impact

White House Down and Olympus has Fallen

I couldn't believe that these films were released so close to each other. Both had near identical story lines.

That said, Armageddon was awesome biggrin

Brilliant film, Val Kilmer was superb as Doc.

I like both Val and Randy's performances.
It's a great character.

Very different films though. Tombstone was mainly action and focussed on a short period, Wyatt Earp was a biopic.

I like them both but would say Tombstone has far more re-watch value.

K9 v turner and hooch.

Loads of Vietnam war films came out at the same time in the late 80's.
Loads of Iraq war films came out at the same time too.

Bridesmaids (film) is a copy of Samantha Who? (tv series).

Both feature Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig is a Christina Applegate replica.

Samantha Who? is better anyway.

Shane & Pale Rider, although I'd say more of a tribute than a copy.
