I loved the first film. I went to watch it at the cinema three times in the week it was released over here. I was working on a farm at the time and I got ribbed about it by the lads I was working with.
"Where are you off to Ex?"
"I'm going to see Trainspotting, want to come?"
"But you went last night..."
"Yeah, I need to see it again"
"What's it about?"
"Trains... you coming?"
Having previously lived in Manchester it was one of those films where I'd met or knew every single one of the characters.
Spud's job interview

I had an interview for a job that I really didn't want when I found out the salary. I had this playing through my mind all interview. It was like I'd won a watch when I got a rejection letter I was so relieved

It was like I'd won a watch when I got a rejection letter I was so relieved I hadn't even got as far as the motorway home when I got a call. "They've cancelled the other interviews, they want you". Ah. I asked for 24 hours to think about it, I hadn't prepared for this eventuality. I can't remember how I managed to get out of it. The agent really wasn't pleased, I suspect he had spent his commission already. They even sent me a copy of the contract of employment on the off-chance a few days later.
they were filming some scenes one street away from me on friday night in edinburgh. so popped over to have a look.
dont want to give any massive spoilers or anything........ but spud was the only one there, he walked up a flight of stairs a couple of times, they done 2 takes and packed up for the night!!
they were also filming at saughton prison over the weekend (a friend is a prison guard there and got picked to be in some of the filming). not sure when the whole cast turn up to do stuff, as at the moment its only been spud and begbie stuff filmed. think the main filming starts soon.
