Just finished. The whole series in three sittings.
Wow! That had to be one of the best TV series I’ve watched for some considerable time.
From casting, direction and acting, it’s just so well executed. Plus plenty of Land Rovers too.
But John Lithgow as Winston Churchill. It has got to be his best work ever.

Looking forward to the next series.

This was a great series. I can't wait for the episode where Diana is introduced...

Not seen it, but the filming is screwing up my favourite run down the road. I shall have to give it a watch so I can see the local bits I reckon!

My Wife likes it, it sort of washes over me but it looks great.

The thing I like about it the most is that it's lavishly made, has a great cast, isn't interrupted by adverts and Netflix seem to be able to make this sort of thing whilst only charging their customers £5-£10 a month, it gives me hope that this race to the bottom the terrestrial channels and to a slightly lessor extent Sky seem to be in when they create lots and lots of output that's mostly cheap reality or 'celebrity' crap doesn't have to be the only way.

I tried to go streaming only, a few weeks ago, but I failed because I couldn't get ITV, Channel 4 etc and I thought I was missing out - but I think perhaps I was hasty - what I was missing was the bargain basement crap that's on in the corner of the room when the kids have gone to bed and you're tied to staying in, I think I could, if this sort of thing continues to grow do away with it - if the various producers can get over their fighting over broadcast rights (trying to get a single device to stream NowTV and Amazon Prime in HD is impossible for example) between Netflix, NowTV, iPlayer and Prime I'm sure you could always find something to watch - quality over quantity.

We started watching this because we were bored and ended up really enjoying it. Mat Smith's DoE is a great character.

I thought it might be a bit downtown abbey, but I really liked it. The insight into Churchill is very good, I really liked it, proper top quality drama.

Marge was a right goer as well, but I think it did skate over a few issues, like the Duke being a womaniser and Marge have a drink problem.

Playstation does this (and Netflix and iplayer) admittedly not all streams on NowTV are HD and then it's only 720 but that seems to be the highest quality supported by NowTV anyway.

I liked the first couple of episodes of the Crown but got bored after that. Very well made and acted though.

I was genuinely surprised by how much I loved S1 and 2 when I finally watched it a year or so ago; Royal dramas aren't usually my thing. It probably helped that they opened the first episode of S1 with that joke! Looking forward to Coleman as the queen, although she'll have some big shoes to fill as I think Foy (and Smith and Kirby) are stellar in the first two series.

I am enjoying it too, fabulously done and a great peek into history.

I thought the exchange between the Queen and PM Wilson quoting her Princess Margeret's limericks at President Johnson's dinner was particularly funny.

The Aberfan episode was the last one I watched, tough going for obvious reasons, but brilliant.

Olivia Coleman’s as her Maj, and Jason Watkins as Wilson are fantastic.
What is to me notable is the huge influence Mountbatten had over affairs, especially with Charles - almost a second Father.

About two thirds of the way through season one. This is good, like insanely good, drama.

I'm very glad we've found this after the disappointment of recent series we've been watching.

Don't forget that it is a drama rather than a documentary
