Anyone watching this? 6 part series started on itv last night, it clashes with Rellik but I recorded that and watched this instead. It was really good.

Could be interesting. The trouble is in this day and age of political correctness I cant ever see a mainstream TV channel showing something which shows the female character lying about being raped.

Caught the second half of this and looks interesting. Already hints of smaller subplots which could provide some twists and turns.

Very much looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

I'm hoping for many twists and turns.

Without having watched the show, my guess is she was raped, but by someone else.

I said the same to my wife.

The doctors workmate knew he was going on the date.

I enjoyed both this and Rellik. Watched BBC then ITV+1. Although recording ITV is probably better so you can skip the ads.

Yes, we thought that as well, although the surgeon obviously has a skeleton or two in his cupboard.
Plenty of other possible suspects cropping up and it looks like there'll be plenty of twists to it.

Watched this with the Mrs last night - not sure how they are going to string it out for 6 episodes!

The Taxi driver was a bit creepy at the start so I wouldn't be surprised if it was him. My guess is that the sister has some sort of history with him and is trying to frame him.

As others have said, i think itv would come in for some criticism if it turns out she has lied.

My wife thinks she has lied, I'm not so sure.

In the flashback she didn't Iook drunk at all, and the Doc said in interview that she took her clothes off, but she woke up pretty much fully dressed.

For someone else to be a suspect it would've had to have been a very small window of opportunity to do it. Plus there would probably be unknown DNA found, not just docs.

Couple of good little subplots too, gonna be a few twists and turns that's for sure.

Could it be that the flashback scenes are from each of the protaganists' viewpoints? So what we are seeing is what the characters remember/think what happened, not what actually happened.

The Affair was very good at showing this concept.

Usual inaccurate police procedures, but entertaining nonetheless.

Yes possibly, but when she got out of bed it appeared to be "real time" rather than a flashback.

Are you implying that they wouldn't speak to the victim then immediately go and arrest the suspect in the middle of surgery? hehe

well you wouldn't leave a rape suspect alone in an interview room, and then release him on bail without conditions, and without seeing the custody officer!

I like the way they arrested him, then let him go for a little walk to get dressed, i'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't happen either.

Male officer would have gone with him to ensure he didn't do a runner out of a window or back door.

They also said he was being arrested for rape as though he'd already been convicted as opposed to an allegation of rape had been made against him.

Decent start & plenty of twists already.

Why did she wake still wearing the clothes she was wearing on the night out - shower, get dressed in new clothes and underwear, report rape and have the 2nd set of clothes taken away for forensics ?
She is an intelligent woman and would know that they needed the clothes from the night before ?
Strange....
