I quite liked it. I liked piecing together some of the back stories for the characters, but I don't think it'll have longevity.

Was just going to post about this.

I can't believe that this was commissioned. What the hell were they thinking of? It wasn't even a good Rentaghost episode! It wasn't even a good kids programme let alone something that should be broadcast at 21-30 on a Monday night. It was so bad that I think one character actually read out a line meant for another and no one noticed or more to the point cared.

And it is so similar to 1970s ITV children's programme called The Ghosts Of Motley Hall, I would imagine there is a fair chance of a lawsuit brewing.

I'm always sceptical when something is advertised so frequently so I avoided the first episode to read some reviews first. And it appears the BBC have continued their awful, awful form for producing third rate* comedies

I enjoyed it. Made a change from the bloody endless singing, dancing, cooking crap that seems to be the usual these days.

Yes, it was a cross between The Ghosts of Motley Hall (I was expecting to see Arthur English), Rentaghost and Beetlejuice.

But I found it funny and different. Will it last? Probably not last a full series and run out of stream but if ste like Still Open All Hours can go on for ever then why not.

Certainly better than Not Going Out. Now that IS dire.

Maybe I quite liked it because I hadn't seen any of those, other than perhaps one or two parts of episodes of Rentaghost when there was nothing else on.

I wouldn't agree with that, though maybe I'm considering Not Going Out based on all the episodes, and remembering that some are better than others.

I gave it a chance and watched the entire first episode, but it was half an hour wasted as I found it complete and utter drivel from start to finish. I too thought it was for kids until I noticed it went out at 9:30.

Its one saving grace was the rather nice Charlotte Richie playing the wife, but if I want to see her I can always watch Siblings again, and it's 1000 times better than this.

I quite enjoy it (although was disappointed with the first episode of the second series but found the following episodes better) ... it's nice to have gentle, light-hearted silliness during these depressing times.

Compulsory viewing in our house. All you miserable sods can bugger off; half an hour a bit of light-hearted viewing that doesn't take itself too seriously is just what the doctor ordered.

I thought the second series was better than the first, as it started to go into the backstories of some of the characters.

The episode where the husband was left alone in the house was an absolute gem.

I quite enjoy it. Much better than most of the crap that the BBC pushes out these days. It doesn’t feel like it’s trying to be obviously ethnic, or aiming itself at hipsters or anything, it just is what it is.

Haven't seen the second series yet, but quite enjoyed bits of the first, particularly the caveman's perspective.

Binge-watched the two series last week, thoroughly enjoyed them after you get to know the characters.
There's an upcoming Xmas Special and a third series next year.
