Pattinson most likely to play Batman in The Batman. I don't see Hoult as it.

Seems like they've released a teaser for his suit.

I'm guessing that they know the suit will leak soon. biggrin

I'm cool with the franchise but how many films do we realistically need?

I mean the Tim Burton era ones were good, enjoyed Jack Nicholson as the joker in the first one, and Danny Devito in the second, kind of went downhill a bit from there and I don't think Tim Burton took any further part in it anyway.

The Nolan trilogy was nothing short of brilliant though I've yet to watch the last one.

I want to watch The Joker as it has been very highly rated though not strictly a Batman film.

But how many more can they make?

Lego Batman was good though biggrin

Agree with what you say about Nolan, last one is very good.
Joker isnt technically a Batman film but obviously there is mention - it is very good imo.

The thing with the Batman universe is that it is so huge (as shown in the Lego Batman film - yes all those bad guys listed are actually 'foe's' of the Bat!
Then there are different plots and routes - Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood etc that can all be explored. They will never stop making them because they will always sell.

So in answer - the reason is money, as always.

Yeah, it would take, 2, maybe three or 4 serious flops to stop the BatTrain!

Looks like the Batmobile budget has taken a hit, not as crazy as the Tumbler.

I like the Nolan trilogy, but for me, the joker was played so well, that the 3rd film and Bane (was it Bane?) just weren't up to scratch as a villain. So it didn't feel as good to me. It felt like a lame follow on to an exceptional 2nd film with Heath Ledger as Joker.

It looks like Jeffrey Wright has gone from being 007’s best mate (Felix Leiter) to Batman’s best mate (Jim Gordon).

Looks proper dark, moody, violent and grown up too, really looking forward to it.

It's nice to see that they have resisted falling back onto using The Joker yet again.

It looks similar to every other superhero film trailer. First announce the baddies, oh look - aren't they nasty and unstoppable, far too much for our conflicted superhero. Then - what's this? A new, harder, cooler superhero. Enjoyment and excitement build at the expectation of lots of cool fighting and our superhero's inevitable victory.

At least Batman begat The Joker, which was alright-ish.

No Batman film has ever really captured the dark style of the really early golden age batman stories (Particularly before they introduced Robin)

Not even 1989 Batman could do it properly.

Look forward to it after the tiresome portentous trilogy.
