I see a few threads for other soaps but nothing for Emmerdale.

Perhaps we can start one up.

Do you remember Butch Dingle? How about Cane shagging the Vicar?
The departure of Lisa.

Mostly written better than any thing Shakespeare managed, I love Emmerdale.

I have always rather liked the fact that you can find the outdoor set on Google Maps. A strange crossing of fact with fantasy.

Programme itself? Not so much, although you have to admire its longevity.

So you're not aware that there is a 6am start up for the full weeks viewing (with reduced adverts) on a saturday & sunday morning on ITV2? hehe

I love it, the story lines are beyond belief, it's just fun fiction, hopefully a few fellow watchers will be in soon to contribute.

40 minutes and counting.

However if you are not into it you haven't got a chance in following the story.

Me too, though the ground breaking lesbian storyline between her and Zoe Tate I was hoping for never emerged, leaving it up to me to imagine it with the aid of some badly executed pencil drawings that I had created.

To quote my dear departed Dad, "Emmerdale turned to st when they stopped talking about farming". He wasn't wrong.

Although I have to say, the odd time (and I mean the odd time) it's always good to see Kim Tate and Moira. Makes me happy. The wife, less so.

Sad thing about the actress who played Zoe Tate is that she's dying of cancer in real life.

Any way to re-awaken the thread.

There's surely a few people that 'get it'.

Better or as good as anything Shakespeare ever wrote.

How long before Cane shags his first removed second cousin? Mandy?

Kim and Graham - would you do either of them?

hehe

Emmerdale? Not a patch on Emmerdale Farm!

And Kim Tart was a pale temptress compared with Dolly Skilbeck!

That plane crash sounded the death knell for this soap as far as I'm concerned ("Archie, Archie, I'm blind!")

Nobody. It's Graham that's getting killed off.

You're meant to believe it's Kim because of her history with Graham, but the other obvious options they seem to have set up are Jamie / Andrea, Charity / Ryan, Marlon & Jai. Out of those, based on prevous storylines where they get to drag out a characters guilt for months on end, it's more likely for the writers to go with Marlon, in a rare fit of rage, or Jai whilst off his head on his newly returned coke habit.

Outside bet is Al, to cover up his own money issues by putting it all on Graham / Jai. Real outside bet is evidently Piers doing it as revenge against Rhona, as a month or so back they mentioned he was evidently up for a speedy parole hearing but it's never been mentioned ever again.

Edit - bloody hell, can't believe i just typed all that - i only watch it as it fills some time in the evening - honestly whistlehehe

I stopped watching it when Cain and Moira finished. I'd just like at least one nice couple to stay together in soapland. I wasn't too happy about Robert suddenly becoming a homo erectus either.
