Lots of interesting stuff on the History Extra podcasts, very formulaic though, it'd be nice to have the odd one that isn't an interview with someone plugging their new book

What is it?

A book?

An article?

A You Tube video?

A pod cast?

If either of the latter two, can you provide a link?

It’s a podcast Eric https://play.acast.com/s/wehaveways
Well worth a listen-i can’t stand Al Murray the “comedian “ but he knows his WW2 stuff, and James Holland is brilliant.

Thanks. Definitely one to listen to later.

I quite like Al Murray. Have you read his book "Watching War Films With my Dad"?

No but I’ve seen a one off tv program along the same lines...I’ll have a look at the book
His road to Berlin tv series was excellent.
I’ve recently finished James Holland’s book about the Normandy campaign that was very good indeed

James Holland is pretty much compulsory for me these days. I've read most of his books - including the fiction.
