Noticed this-I'll see if my white jacket (I did buy one) still fits after 35 years.

Top stuff. Season One's excellent - especially the Pilot.

MV's still one of the best US cop series ever: superb cast, great characters, gangsters, moody period settings, topical subjects, pretty violent, cool soundtrack & of course plenty of '80's tin (or plastic in the case of the Daytovette).

Fantastic news. I've recently wondered why it's not been repeated on TV or any of the streaming services.
Is this the whole run does anyone know?

I have the whole series on DVD but it is missing one episode. I think it was something about the IRA and it was a bit sensitive at the time so it is not included.

I have the whole collection too but I bought it series by series and I think it has the episode you're thinking of. If I am right then a very young Liam Neeson plays the bad guy!

Season Three, Episode One, 1986 (via Wiki) & yes, it's Liam Neeson (although appears that he was 34 at the time (!)).

Set up series record.

Loved this at the time, worried it may not live up to my memories.

What's the channel name for this? I don't appear to have Freeview channel 96, even after a retune.

Yep Neeson, blows up the black Ferrari (Corvette). The Testarossa that replaces it was black also but Johnson scratched it before filming started and they re sprayed it white.

I love Miami Vice. The pilot is is basically a Michael Mann film, the final chase with In the Air Tonight and the camera angles of the Ferrari wheels and the lights reflecting off the bonnet is amazing.

Anyone remember when Halifax used Crocketts theme in their advert. It's not all work work work.

I'm just outside London, and don't have the channel, although I did have it a few retunes ago.

It was Jeff Fahey that blew up the Daytona.

There are a few stories as to how they ended up with a White Testarossa, including the one above.
Michael Mann had left the show by season 3 and the cinematic style is very different.
The black Testarossa didn't show up well at night and that was another explanation for it being painted white.
Enzo supplied two Testarossas and a third, stunt car with deep dished chromed wheels was built, apparently based on an automatic DeTomaso Pantera.

fk, why did I miss remember that. I was sure it was Neeson. Crazy. I'm getting old.
