Has anyone watched this on the Sky Crime Channel?

Essentially it is a 2011 documentary about the 2009 Taconic State Parkway crash where a drunk/drugged driver drove a Ford Windstar minivan the wrong way up the highway and hit an SUV head on killing all of the occupants and all but her young son in the minivan. Victims in the minivan included her own daughter, three nieces and obviously herself.

The documentary focuses on the husband and sister in law of the woman and them trying to prove that she wasn’t drink/drug driving, trying to get autopsy results and the samples re-tested believing the cause was something else (a tooth abscess or a stroke). However they just come across as delusional and very much in denial about the whole thing, for example they start off by saying she never used to drink or do drugs but then later on that she did a bit and so on and so on.

The husband seems a massive man-baby angry with his dead wife for leaving him as a single parent to the surviving son as he admits that he never wanted kids in the first place…quite unbelievable.

For me he knew more than he made out in the documentary and is trying to push the blame away from his wife, most likely to clear his own conscience for what he didn’t stop himself. At no point does he show any remorse for the other victims or their family which is unforgivable.

A warning to anybody that does watch it, they show the woman's body in the post crash pictures which wasn't needed imho. There is no prior warning to this other than the 'Viewer discretion is advised' warning at the very start, a bit ghoulish!
