We watched a couple of episodes of White Lines.

It looks really good, but it feels like a few different programmes, of varying madness, with some good actors (Daniel Mays particularly convincing), cobbled together with dodgy script/plots -and an orgy run by Angela Griffin.

It also makes me realise how old I am. I'm the same age as the actors/Mancunian characters...

I am a few episodes in, it's got a touch of Mad Dogs about it. Going to stick with it to see where it goes.

Likewise, do love the place. I’m just starting watching it now.

I wasn’t sure if they were going to actually be on the island as I understand the authorities aren’t keen on granting filming permits for anything that shows the island in a bad light.

Part of it was filmed in Bolton. We spotted a familiar old mill.

I’m 6 episodes in which is very unusual for me as I do not do miniseries normally.
The mix of black humour, drama and action is quite captivating and helps carry you through the not so enthralling episodes.
Some really good characters in there. It is flawed but just relax and let it wash over you, the setting and general ambiance carry it along well enough.

On the other hand, I don't watch that much TV, so I do prefer watching good programmes, rather than mediocre ones.

Watched one episode so far, the acting’s appalling (especially the lead actress), been told to stick with it so will give another go.

Most of it was filmed in Majorca supposedly

She does appear to do only one expression.

Daniel Mays was the most convincing: character and Mancunian voice, although you'd think that the people who had been living in Ibiza for 25 years might have lost their "Manchester" accents a little.

Bearing in mind the British Expats will hardly speak any Spanish I'd probably expect them to still be speaking Manc (although some of the accents were a bit dodgy - looking at you Laurence Fox).

Just finished it last night after a bit of a binge, thought it was quite good.

I watched the first one and remarked to the wife as to how authentic his Manc accent seemed, especially as he is from the south.

Seems ok so far.

I think I am 3 episodes in. Wanted to like it but tend to agree that it seems like a mix of shows that don't hang together very well.

Not the best screen writing but watchable due to the music and scenary. Can't help feeling it's post watershed Eldorado.

I was looking forward to this but the lead actress killed it dead. I got halfway through the first episode before switching off. Daniel Mays is brilliant in everything, I wish I'd stuck with it to see if he made it watchable.

Watched 4 eps now, once you can get past the wooden acting it’s not bad. The mother loves getting her kit off!

Watched the full set of it. Did feel that the episodes 7,8 & 9 dragged to make it a longer series, with the final being piecing together randomly! Now onto find the next Netflix viewing.

If something is as mediocre and silly as this seems to be, why bother watching it?

Throwning in a bit of nudity and (surprisingly unerotic) softcore porn doesn't a good programme make, although many series do it in the early episodes.
