Operation Dunkirk (2017).

Paratroopers, Americans, SS officers with trousers a different colour from their jacket and who haven't shaved, soldiers who go round holding Schmeissers up to their eyes like US special forces, people talking about 'algorithms' (like anyone knew what they were in 1940). Utter, utter, ste!

Well it did come from The Asylum so you shouldn't have expected much, though Z Nation was OK so they can do it if they try.

Surely a load of Uwe Boll stuff would be in the running too? A lot of the time the film was just a way to get the financing.

Also thousands of cheaply produced things pop up on Amazon Video which are utter junk and have no reason to exist yet somehow do.

Which is nowhere near as execrable as the latest Hellboy.

The worst film I've ever seen is Alien Blood.

https://www.imdb.com/rg/em_share/title_web/title/t...

I wouldn't advise sampling it yourself.

Dave.

Like many thousands of dinner parties, one my wife and I went to turned round to this subject. We were with neighbours who were a bit weird – great – but they seemed to collect odd people around them. Don't know what that says about us.

One extremely attractive woman, who ran her own successful business and seemed the most normal of the collection of friends, came up with Grease, which brought a howl of protest from the other women, even starting a couple singing one of Olivia Newton-John’s songs.

She was asked, ordered really, to justify her stance by giving us reasons we could destroy one at a time. The basis of her argument wasn’t against the production, acting or soundtrack, but the morals it was teaching the children (a dig at the others perhaps) who were entranced by it, but took in its message subliminally.

She reckoned that the basis of the story was that John wasn’t loved for whom she was but merely how she was dressed. She changed from a style she presumably liked, although it made her frumpy, to looking like a vamp. After the table broke up and we separated into two groups, us blokes talked about her point of view and we came to the uncomfortable conclusion that she was right.

‘I would have, however she was dressed,’ seemed to be the opinion of us all. I’ve always thought of the woman’s comments whenever this subject came up and have convinced myself she was right. It wasn’t, I think, sour grapes on her behalf as I think every bloke thought to themselves how she would look dressed in smooth and shiny black lurex. Might think of that again.

My vote must go to Grease.

Wash your mouth out.

Grease is the best film in the world ever, and that's nothing to do with being 16 when it came out and getting jiggy with a baritone sax player with big lungs on the back row!

[laughing emoji] I must look up how to do them.

I doubt we'll ever meet up at the same dinner party.

Grease and Jupiter Ascending are poor films, but not a patch on Splice.

Truly atrocious. I turned it off on a long haul flight and sat doing nothing instead.

Plot: Two scientists (a married couple) genetically engineer a peculiar slug thing that they take home to save from destruction when their funding is cut. (Can't recall why, maybe it's a bitey slug thing).

They move to the country with the slug thing that grows into a bald teenage girl with cow-like backwards knees.

Then the man sleeps with the slug-cow-Kojak creature that then becomes jealous of the woman.

Oh, then the slug-cow-Kojak thing grows some wings. Obviously. So now the slug-cow-Kojak-bird starts trying to kill them both.

At this point I switched it off. I have made it sound far better than it actually is.

Kind of interested to see that cow kneed slug girl film now laugh
Anyone who says Grease is the worst film is very wrong, It's a classic and Stockard Channing steals the show! cloud9

Then again it also means that to get the girls I must dress up as a greasy rocker and dance on car roofs.

If your friend is still stuck on a film from the 70's I think she needs to lighten up a bit!

Well indeed, and any of the low-rent 'disaster movies' touted out on daytime TV with the couple driving very quickly in a car, the control room with the black guy in camo and the woman on the radio, and the maverick climate scientist's missing son. But you expect those to be very bad, as with Sharknado. I didn't expect a supposed war film to be so bad!

That's another 'classic' from The Asylum. Check out the (very long) list of their other efforts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Asylum_f...

They usually seem familiar due being very rough cheap ripoffs of other much better known films, the rest are outright cheap junk of the Ed Wood sort, just not as good.

My vote goes to Moulin Rouge - it's the only film I've ever wanted to walk out of (I was in the centre of the row in very crowded cinema so didn't).

Even Nicole Kidman in stockings & suspenders couldn't save it for me!

Rubber, a tyre goes on a killing spree in the desert... No it spends ages figuring out how to move but then kills people by making them explode via crazy non contact skills.

Surely The Happening, I made the rookie error of not checking any reviews before watching, although I haven't seen OP movie.
