Just watched a documentary about Sharon Tate.
What an incredibly beautiful lady she was and what an awful tragedy the murders were.

Yes, I believe her portrayal in Tarantino's movie is accurate, she was a simple, innocent, beautiful girl,
who only wanted to be liked, and hadn't a bad thing to say about anything or anyone.

I put off watching the film because I was told of the bloodbath ending, I couldn't
face watching her being murdered.

But then I found out the truth about the ending and thoroughly enjoyed the film.

Agreed - that the ending deviated from reality was a definite highlight.

Indeed, if only Manson's murdering scumbags had come to such a grisly end in reality.

I watched her in The Wrecking Crew and she was great, while Dean Martin was less so.
Sharon might have been a rival to Streisand and Hawn in the screwball comedies of the 1970s.

Until I saw the documentary I didn’t realise what a great job Margot Robbie did of playing her in Once Upon a time in Hollywood.
She got her spot on.

Which "Buck Rogers" are you talking about?

I was wondering because the TV series was from the 1970s and the original film series was from the 1930s. Tate was murdered in 1969.

I hadn't realised that there was another Buck Rodgers between those two versions from the 30s and 70s.

No worries Eric I was wrong anyway. I was getting Sharon Tate confused with Dorothy Stratton. It's my age, memory isn't what it used to be and probably because they were both horribly murdered.
