Not the greatest David Tennant fan, but this was brilliant. Chilling story, but so atmospherically done, great performances.

I tried this on the off chance much like yourself and David is strangely compelling. It's a morbidly fascinating watch.

I'm not a Tennant fan particularly either, I just think he's a bit meh, but this is fantastic and he is brilliant in it, it's uncanny how much he looks like Nilsen too.

Misssed last nights but cannot see it anywhere ( at the moment) on Virgin Catch Up/Search/ Channel search/ etc..

Any ideas or are Virgin/ITV hub tardy in getting things on?

This will be interesting to watch having seen in person the cooker and large pot he used to boil up his victims , together with the bath some of them were drowned in.

Enjoyed it last night.

Another non-DT fan here, my Wife loves him, but I find him a bit dull.

It's on again tonight isn't it?

Go on i'll bite. How ?

Totally missed that this was on, but at 10pm last night I did watch the Born to Kill programme on Channel 5 all about Nielson. Just finished the catchup on Des, looks great so far, lots of familiar faces, can't wait for tonight's Episode.

Are they emphasising this was set very much before the smoking ban?

I saw a picture somewhere of Tennant in character and Nielsen side by side and you would do well to tell them apart from a glance!

I don’t know this story at all, compared to some of the other specials TV people have made, so it’s all new.

Surprised at episode 2! A lot to wrap up tomorrow.

I'm not normally one of those saddos who watches stuff on tv and says " this is meant to be 1956 but that car in the background wasn't available until Feb 57", but considering the sensitive subject matter, there are a few stupid errors that they should have got right.

Being interviewed, giving his previous address where he burnt the bodies as Melrose Ave, N2. It was actually NW2. Also, referring to picking a man up at Oxford Street tube station...no such place.

The very place, I was fortunate to get an invite to visit through work and visited back in 2013. I have no idea what happened to the collection when New Scotland Yard moved, some items went to a London museum that was open to the public.

A very strange atmosphere there, nothing woooooo, just the type of exhibits that play on your mind a bit.
