Did anyone watch this on Friday? Sophie, the lass from Blackpool with the unmistakeable laugh, used the phase "Smashing her back doors in". Is she a secret Pistonheader?

I'm not so sure that that phrase originated on PH, in fact I'm sure it didn't.

I think you’re confusing it with being taken up the Oxo tower...

PH is one of the few places I've seen it used.

Keith Lemon on Celebrity Juice has used that phrase for years.

I've seen and heard it in many places.

TBH I can't recall ever seeing it on PH.

Even if it did originate here (sure it didn’t) it could have easily spread

The first time I remember that phrase was in a film. Football Factory perhaps scratchchin

As for Sophie and the use of that phrase...well...please...is it hot in here?

I'll only believe someone is a PHer if a reference to frozen sausages or calling custard is used on air. I've slipped those into Guardian comments and you can tell who gets it

Was using that term way back in the early 90's whilst based in Germany in the forces so, sorry, it definitely didn't originate on PH

Like I said then. My point is that someone using a phrase doesn’t indicate anything at all about where they heard it.

Wonder if the 500 on the drive is hers. I think I remember them talking about Pete driving an absolute shed, so maybe it's actually him that's on here. hehe

PS. does anybody think those two have a slightly odd relationship given that they're siblings?

Yes, why not? I think it's fking hilarious and if anyone on there is a PHer it has to be Giles.

I hated them at first but now I think they are great. I just think they get on well and have 'top bantz', as is the vernacular.

If you want weird, check out Laurence and Emilia Fox on the celebrity version! eek

In regard to back doors, I think that's an expression in common usage amongst the yoof that has subsequently gained popularity on PH.
