Just a 'heads-up' for any true crime fans, the 2nd series of Murder Case starts tonight (7th Oct 2020) on BBC2.

Cameras follow detectives investigating the murder of a guy on his way home from the pub, in a small town just outside Glasgow (Renfrew). He was assaulted in the street, the assault was captured on CCTV, and he passed away a few days later in hospital.

I watched the previous series and it was very good. Only 3 episodes in Series 1 though, they don't appear to be available on iPlayer but may be available elsewhere.

Powerful stuff, just a shame he never received a longer sentence.

That sentence seemed shockingly lenient.

Never occurred to the cops to question the dead man's new girlfriend about any boyfriends she had recently dumped ?
Too obsessed with CCTV to actually do old fashioned talking to people police work.

Interesting fact about the strange and idiotic anomaly re post mortems and the swift return of the body to the family, and the wholly unlikely idea
put forward by the victim's sister that Scotland should adopt the more sensible English system,

Over Nicola's dead body ? one might say.

I don't think there is an actual case in this evening's programme, more what they are faced with whilst investigating such?
