Have you seen The Gentlemen - it's on Amazon Prime? Not as good, but still good and a similar good ol' fashion, knees up Mother Brown crime caper.

That's the reason I wanted to watch Lock Stock. Finished The Gentlemen and thought let's now watch Lock Stock, ended up watching Snatch instead.

I'm starting to go off streaming because of stuff like this. I've had quite a lot of stuff disappear from Spotify recently, half the Blues Brothers soundtrack went the other day for example.

I assume it's a problem with the copyright or whatever. fk me is it annoying as a consumer though.

Couple of times I've started to watch something on Amazon only to find that when I return, it's moved to a pay platform!

I like streaming for the convivence and discovery, but I still maintain a DVD/CD collection of my favourites which I access via Plex.

Haven't watched Lock stock in many years but must say I absolutely loved The Gentlemen, I've watched it twice already and that's very rare for me!

I currently have crates and crates of DVD's, CD's, tapes in storage awaiting moving in to our new house. Partner wants rid, doesnt understand the value - err streaming only works if you have the internet and the license owners don't fk about. That I also find it better to find something flicking through a physical library rather than some biased algorithm telling me what I might want to listen to next.

I tried playing a DVD for the first time in ages thru an Xbox. The thing didn't recognise the disc till one of my in-house IT consultants (teenage son) fixed it by downloading the DVD player app from the store.

Yeah the big issue i have with streaming is because of licensing i find that if you have Nowtv, Netflix and Amazon it is just a constant shuffle between services. A few movies drop off Nowtv and suddenly they are on Netflix and it is just a merry go round especially for average more filler movies.
