Just finished watching the above on BBC1 as i'm off work for a day or 2, a guy in a Ferrari cuts up a van then brake checks a couple times before ending up with the van into the back of the Ferrari, car drives claims for £23k worth of damage to his Ferrari and a further £50k in hire car charges!! claims he was forced to brake suddenly by slowing/stoping traffic and the van driver wasn't paying attention, turns out the van driver had a dashcam and it didn't paint the Ferrari driver in a good light and proved he caused the accident by cutting up the van and brake checking, van drivers insurance refused to pay out any amount to the Ferrari driver so I guess he now ends up paying the repair bil himself or will he be able to claim off his own? Guessing his own wont pay the £50k for a hire car though

Watching this again today, most of the people making fraudulent insurance claims are in a word 'thick'!
Posting a mobile phone for sale on their FB page showing the imei number,selling the phone then trying to claim off insurance for a lost phone, insurance took screenshots to then have the person claiming threatening police action as the insurance company have unlawfully looked at their FB page!

My assumption would be the Hire Car charges were probably for a company known very very closely to the driver of the Ferrari.

You heard the one about the mini bus that tried the same thing? everyone on bus claimed for whiplash.. including a few others that arrived on the scene not long after the accident happened.
