I see Jools is on tonight as usual for his Hootenanny - If it's just him and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.. won't be quite the same..!
No audience, other bands, guests...
I saw him and his band play years ago at Kenwood. No audience, other bands, guests...
Bearing that experience in mind, I think I'll give tonight's show a miss.

Hopefully better that some folk fear....... found this write up of tonight's show
"Joining Jools and his orchestra in the studio this year are Celeste, Sir Tom Jones, Michael Kiwanuka, Roisin Murphy, Rag’n’Bone Man, Rick Wakeman, Ruby Turner and the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Batallion Scots Guards. Jools will also be taking a look back at some of the incredible Hootenanny performances from the archive including the likes of Jamiroquai, Rudimental and Ella Eyre, Madness, ABC and Aloe Blacc, promising a musical celebration with a nostalgic nod to the past, a warm welcome to the year ahead and plenty of bangers!"

There has just been something on R2 that sounded like an edited version of this."Joining Jools and his orchestra in the studio this year are Celeste, Sir Tom Jones, Michael Kiwanuka, Roisin Murphy, Rag’n’Bone Man, Rick Wakeman, Ruby Turner and the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Batallion Scots Guards.
