I quite enjoyed it, but I hope the timeline settles down a bit, the constant back and forth was a little too choppy for me.

Agree with this.
Far too many dramas use this to try as some sort of tool to add suspense. But in general it’s annoying if you look away for a moment and don’t realise what time slot the story is in.
That aside thought, quite enjoyed it, and it’s very well made. At the moment I’d have thought there are easier ways to kill backpackers and take their money and passports, but presumably we find out why it needs to be so elaborate.

I enjoyed watching this despite the time hopping. Good performances from the leading actors and Jenna Coleman is always a decent watch. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the series.

Watched the first 2 episodes and I'm hooked. Will probably binge the other 6 episodes over the next few days.

I'm up to episode 4 now and i'm hooked!

Anyone starting with this, don't be put off with going back and forth, it's worth sticking with it.

nearly finished it, i do find the back and forth hard to keep track of the story and not really needed, makes it a bit clumsy as well. Not sure why the french speak french and the Ditch speak english, would be better in English.

He was a very dodgy character but no real depth, but interesting abeit padded out.

Second episode watched. As I watched I thought it was repetitive but then the episode was over and I am looking forward to episode 3, so still a good review from me.

I would like to see the story told from the Dutch consulates POV,. Intrigue as he starts discovering the seedy underbelly of the whole affair.

Yeah I agree, too much back and forth and characters all a bit shallow which is odd with so many episodes.

I thought it was about to end and then realised there are two more episodes.

Still pretty good though and really captures the 70s SE Asia vibe, all the foreigners look suitably hot and bothered in the humidity.

The historical stuff is all well done apart from using a clip of a Ryanair 737 and another of a Boeing 777, obviously this wouldn’t be an issue for many people and my wife did roll her eyes so far back she could see her brain, when I mentioned it.

2 episodes in, and just about getting used to the back and forth. Seems a bit long winded but it is quite compelling. Still not sure why the drugging and killing need to be so elaborate to steal a few dollars, but I guess we have 6 more episodes to find out.
