Couldn't find a thread on this so thought I'd start one.
With Disney+ having all SW content and as I've been watching The Mandalorian, I decided to re-visit this series as I saw it so long ago and can't remember much of it, and The Mandalorian does take some elements from it.
Anyway yes it's a cartoon (or rather CGI) and yes, on D+ it say it's for 6 years and over, but quite a few of the episodes have some very dark elements which I probably wouldn't show to a 6 year old. Such as Zombie creatures, Zombie witches, which did seem quite extreme and some pretty cold blooded killings. I would probably suggest some episodes if it was live action would likely be at least a 12 rating.
That said though it's an excellent series and expands on the prequals in a really good way (it's made me appreciate the story of the prequals more). And it very much puts the "Wars" into Star Wars that even some of the movies lack. I'm really enjoying it, apparently the last season (which I haven't seen at all) straddles Revenge of the Sith, so I'll watch that movie at the appropriate point in the last season (it is actually one of best Star Wars movies from a story perspective for me anyway).

Anyone else watching or have watched these?

I missed it the first time around, but am watching it now and it is very good. Adds a lot of meat to the back stories that the films miss.

Rebels is also very good, starts of being a little more of a kids show at the start, but pulls in some big characters in later series. It also links well with the Thrawn trilogy of books, and there is an order somewhere on the internet about which episodes and chapters from the books to read in the correct order.
