All a bit close to home.
I've walked all the coastal path, seen the plaque and looked up the history, although the bit they filmed at last night wasn't the same location, I've a feeling that was further north they used to be sensitive about the location.
Interesting to see it played out, last nights episode was good and interesting.
The beach the detective moved next to is Freshwater East, he met the former copper along the front at Little Haven, and thy were filming in the pub at Hakin Point

I thought it was brilliant. I don't recall the original case or the re-investigation so it's all new to me. It was actually pretty tough last night not googling the outcome!
I also have walked the coastal path, but being unaware of the case didn't notice the plaque weirdly. I love holidays in Pembrokeshire, Solva, St Davids, beers in The Sloop Inn in Porthgain. It's lovely to see some familiar sights.

A gripping first episode and drama well acted, hard to imagine Cooper nearly got clean away with two double murders had the new detective not reopened the case. I know the area fairly well, my ancestors came from Letterston, hopefully not related I've walked all the coastal path, seen the plaque and looked up the history, although the bit they filmed at last night wasn't the same location, I've a feeling that was further north they used to be sensitive about the location.

Why was Cooper's son in such poor physical health ?

Really enjoyed it last night, kicking myself for missing the first few mins though, I think I should read up on the real case, but at the same time, I don't want to spoil it. I don't remember the cases.
Can anyone fill me in on why they closed the cases originally? Did they get the wrong man for it, or just have to give up?

Would imagine insufficient evidence to prosecute. Shortly afterwards he went down for robbery and burglary charges, nearing parole time the case was reopened and with modern day advancements in DNA/forensics coupled with some strange quirks of fate along the way it's well worth a watch Can anyone fill me in on why they closed the cases originally? I think he had an accident on one of the oil refineries in the area. I'm told he wasn't as physically disabled as they're making out though as he was still working there afterwards.

Although some people seem to just be able to act that way.

Nice cliffhanger to finish with last night...
Good sleuthing Byker with the landmarks, the Cooper family looked well heeled in the beginning as if they had inherited well and somehow squandered the lot before he turned to a life of crime, also not much is mentioned of the daughter Theresa ? Sooo many questions, the plot thickens
