Extreme salvage squad.

Another over dramatic bunch of chancers.
I don't know if there are different rules over there (Australia) or we are too careful, (I would rather err on the side of caution personally).
Latest one I watched they flew a mate in to screw some planks to a jetty, nothing difficult, straight planks, anybody could have done it. Didn't use a boat like any sensible person would do, oh no, he jumped in the water to put the bottom screws in while making a big issue about crocodiles etc. (Possibly paid extra by the producer for the added 'peril').
They were pulling some tree stumps out, I could see as clear as day that one of the straps they were using was badly frayed, they were putting a lot of strain on their equipment and what a surprise the strap snapped. The main guy had broken his own rules and went in the 'danger zone' to touch the winch cable a couple of seconds before the strap snapped. Big drama then going on about how much strain they were designed for blah blah blah.

Another s
te programme. We’ve had 2 series of this in Australia - called Aussie Salvage Squad down here.
They got a lot of stick during S1 due to the dodgy methods they use. Biggest uproar was when they caught mud crabs, which you aren’t allowed to do.
In S2 they are back in WA and don’t seem quite as dodgy. A lot more “if they don’t finish in the next hour they’ll lose 5k on the job” peril though.
