C4 comedy series, seemed to slip through the net for me; only found it by accident when looking for something new to watch.

Starring Mitchell & Webb (Peep Show etc), neither of them exactly stretches their acting abilities with both of them playing the exact same sort of characters that they always do. Probably a good thing really, and I found series 1 to be quite a good watch with a few genuinely funny laugh out loud moments. The supporting cast all seem to be very good which helps.

New series starts this week I think, but I don't know if they'll all be available to stream in one go.

Anyone else seen this?

Saw the first series when it originally aired.
It was OK, but nothing special (nowhere near as good as 'peep show' for example).

I'll probably watch the second series as there's so little good on at the moment.

Yes I'd agree with that, not bad but nothing special. I like a British comedy though and will watch series 2 when it's available.

Main problem with a lot of new comedies I find is that you don't really warm to them lot of the time. There might be some funny lines thrown in but you end up not really caring about the characters like you would (or I did) with Fools & Horses for example.

I really enjoyed it. If you don't agree, then you're a UMC.

(yes, a UMC, I thought you'd worked in restaurants before) rofl

Watched the first episode of series 2 last night and thought it was great. The farmer gets all the best lines, not sure of the actor’s name but I’ve seen him in other stuff playing a similar role and he has it to a tee.

Just reminded me of the best moment in series 1 when he dealt with the bloke who had kidnapped the dog. Need to watch that again!

Like a few people I missed this first time, but watched series 1 over Xmas.

Very funny! Hedge Vodka.

Similar to Detectorists, in that the humour is pretty subtle rather than laugh out loud.

Also missed season 1 and found it a month or so ago.

Love the tone and humour level on this show, never going to touch Peep Show but this is very different and Mitchell and Webb get to play to their strengths really well.

It’s a pleasant enough show and I’ve watched both series but it doesn’t belong in the same category as Detectorists.

Robert Webb had heart surgery last year having found a defect when he had the medical before series two of Back.
Enjoyed s1, looking forward to 2.

Have hoovered up Series 2.

Really enjoyed it, as I did Series 1, some of the writing is very subtly funny indeed.

Series 3 promises to be very fruitful!

I love every bit of it but at the same time am a bit perturbed because I feel it must have an "end". Why is he back?

Andrew has come back to the family who fostered him when he was a kid.
