Anyone else been watching this? I'm really enjoying it and a pleasant surprise for what isn't a channel 5 norm. Started on Monday over 4 nights

Yep am watching it. Surprised there are so many established names given how ridiculous some of the storyline is (probably no worse than Marcella to be fair!), but if you don’t get too hung up on that, it’s easy enough to watch and quite enjoyable.

Yep watching, it is very far fetched with how things just fall into place, totally unbelievable but it is easy watching.

Will watch the conclusion tonight but it's now got to the stage where we just sit there ripping holes in the storyline hehe

I mean why the fk would she try and leave the country and risk getting caught ? All she had to do was hide out anywhere in this country and wait for the DNA result rolleyes

Lol, exactly what I said to the wife, but there are so many other holes and ridiculous goings on, that I'm not surprised this happened, on the whole it is a pretty crap drama but hey, only one more episode to go!!

Nice SAAB!

Have to agree. So much promise but failed to deliver and turn into a complete mess

watched it for the SAAB and Jill..

Rest of it was stupid, especially when she had his blood, but opted for a toothbrush instead for a DNA test...

terrible ending too, plus pointless other people with pointless story lines..

Although I should moan all that much, it took me until last night to clock the connection to an androgynous alternative rock guitarist...

Only came here to say this. I was actually enjoying it up until the last 20 mins of the final episode, despite there being so many holes in the plot. The ending was just ridiculous.

Jill Halfpenny and Rupert Penry-Jones both command some decent roles in primetime TV, am surprised they wanted to go anywhere near it. Not a career high for either, but I guess the bills have to be paid.

The Saab was the best bit of it.

That bit had me shouting at the telly!

We’re only two episodes in and I think it’s a pile of crap. Missus quite likes it though even she concedes there are ridiculous holes in the plot. For example..

The ease and speed that she landed her job at the school.

Her father’s funeral was a noticeably socially distant affair, yet no other scene seems to be.

There are only about 5 pupils at the entire school.

She supposedly runs a landscape gardening company with her best friend / business partner, yet never does any gardening and now has a job as a teacher! Her mate seems ok with this.

Same friend was using a chainsaw without any protective clothing whatsoever (bit pedantic of me I know but made me cringe).

I could go on but you get the idea ha ha! It’s just rubbish.

One more thing, not an annoyance just an observation: The hot young busybody who works in the school, doubtless she will become important to the ‘plot’ but whenever she appears I can’t help but think of the Robert Palmer video for Addicted To Love. The only part of this dismal show I like.

Oh, the Saab, I like that as well. Doesn’t look quite right for the show / character though. It’s as though the programme makers decided she needed a distinctive old car that would reflect her tragic past and that she’s now a struggling and skint mess despite living in a big and expensively furnished house. Usually they go for a W123 Merc or a Volvo 245 estate but maybe values of those have shot up so they settled for an old Saab. Thing is, hardly anyone outside of tv land actually drives a 35 year old car as a daily and it just ends up looking like a prop.

TLDR: stupid programme, don’t bother your arse.
