I can only really arrive at four that I feel are around the same level of quality. Dexter had a great first four seasons but then became so awful towards the end that it shouldn't appear on any top 5 lists. House had some great individual episodes, but also some poor ones, and could be very formulaic. The Simpsons had eight or so great seasons and then many seasons of dross.
