With WandaVision coming to an end, I thought it might be worth having a thread to discuss the MCU shows that are coming next.

As far as I know, we have the following planned:

March 2021: Falcon and the Winter Soldier

May 2021: Loki

Summer 2021: What If

2022: Hawkeye

TBA: Ms. Marvel

TBA: Moon Knight

TBA: She-Hulk

TBA: Secret Invasion

TBA: Ironheart

TBA: Armor Wars

I just can't wait to watch all of them!

What If really appeals though, everything we currently know and love, but mixed up with different characters.

I'm sure on another thread someone posted a link to the order in which everything was made and the chronological order it ought to be watched. I'd only seen the films before, and am currently working my way through Wandavision and Agents of Shield (just about to start Series Six). Was thinking Agent Carter next, but to be honest I'm not sure what the other existing series are and where they fit in.

Anyone help?

Netflix has Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher. Aside from a reference to “a big green guy” they are self contained from the Marvel cinematic universe, though interlinked between themselves. DD and JJ each have an excellent villain.

I don’t think anything else is integral to the MCU.

The Netflix series should still be available. (Don’t bother with Iron Fist or Defenders). They make reference to the existence of a wider superhero world, but otherwise they are only linked with each other.

There are a few others based on Marvel comics, such as Legion or Cloak & Dagger. But they are not in the ‘shared universe’.

Whatever you do, avoid The Inhumans.

I really hope DD gets a series on Disney+. They need to have him Spiderman and Deadpool in at least one scene. Charlie Cox played the character incredibly well.

My son and I are currently going through the Marvel films in time line order, including Spiderman. Tonight it's Captain Marvel.

Ths has helped me to understand most of what's what with Wandavision.

I can't wait either, Falcon & Winter Soldier should be out on the 19th and looks like a buddy cop type series.

Loki is the one I'm most looking forward too though which should be sometime in May.

Less that two weeks until the start of Falcon & Winter Soldier. Looks like a much more conventional TV show. An odd-couple buddy cop adventure, done in the style of the Russo brothers.

I’ve rewatched Winter Soldier and Civil War, the films with introduce the central characters in the new show. I think these are the 2 best films in the MCU.
I hope the writing of this show comes close to the quality of these films. I’m not convinced Anthony Mackie or Sebastian Stan are the most charismatic actors, but have faith it will be at least half descent.

I genuinely can't work out if this is a piss-take or not biggrin

As (and I'm expecting to be struck by CGI lightning right about now) they seem to have successfully recycled the same plot with different coloured lycra about twenty times now.
