Anyone else find her utterly unbearable?

I don't know why I torture myself most mornings by having her on the TV, she really makes me want to punch the TV. Obviously I've never met her in real life, but it just feels like she totally hams up her Scottish-ness. I wonder if she's actually like that in person.

I don't even understand the point in her show.....all the stuff she does/people she speaks to could be done on This Morning.

This post is of course making me realise that lockdown working from home has turned me into a middle aged woman.

Her morning show is a bit mundane - but overall I quite like her.

I remember 6 months ago, when she gave somebody (Stormy Daniels maybe?) quite a hard time for appearing on a show and then refusing to say much. And I thought she was excellent on Last Leg a couple of months ago.

Well I'll give her credit for that then, always nice to hear 'celebs' being nice in person.

She claims Lorraine Kelly is an act - got her out of a £1.2m tax bill.

Her reporting of the Dunblane massacre and her follow up support and friendship of victims families was extraordinary.
For that alone she deserves praise and applause.

I don't watch her show, but she always seems perfectly lovely on chat shows etc. Very grounded compared to most TV types.

Isn't accusing a Scot of being 'too Scottish' a bit of a dick move?

are you talking about Lorraine Kelly the character, or Lorraine Kelly the actress who plays Lorraine Kelly the character?

i see now hat southendpier had already mentioned it - lorraine kelly claimed that the lorraine kelly you see on the tv in the mornings is a character she plays and thus she wangled herself out of a large tax bill

So my point about her 'hamming it up' might be true, and she isn't in fact quite like that in real life at home etc.

My wife said the same. She met her at a medical school function many years ago.

She dammed someone else in a "well if you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all" way too, can't remember who, but it was beautifully executed, brutal, yet subtle.

EDIT: It was Esther McVey.
