Using old Virgin TV box without subscription
Discussion
Years ago I decided it would be a good idea to remove the cable that took my roof mounted aerial to the back of the TV.
At the time I had a cable package so didn’t think that I would miss it.
I got rid of the cable when I moved out but Virgin never collected the old box, so now I have two. I actually transferred the contract to the new property.
My question; if the old house no longer has an active Virgin service but still has a physical Virgin connection, could that physical connection be used for free to air services?
When I plug the old box into the cabling at my new house, it does actually give me free to air services but nothing else.
Not the easiest thing to test (plugging in the old box at the old property) hence me asking here.
