Question about Line of Duty
Discussion
Haven't posted this in the main thread as I don't want to potentially see spoilers without asking my question first!
Never really got into LoD, but everyone raves about it so I ought to give it a go. My question is, do I need to start from Series 1/Episode 1, or is each series discrete, albeit with some of the same characters?

Wife went on at me to watch the latest series, haven't watched any previous.
It's difficult to follow, can't understand the characters at times and the acronyms are FCM
Oh and some of the acting is s
te. makes Gina McKee look good!
Gina McKee isn't in LOD BTW she's just a wooden actor
My wfe went on at me too. She'd watched S1 so I started S2 with her. We're most of the way through S3 now and I have to say I'm not really seeing what all the fuss is about. I found the first ep of S2 almost unwatchable because of the bizarre camera work and editing. Thankfully they stopped doing that soon after, obv realised themselves it wasn't working phew. It's difficult to follow, can't understand the characters at times and the acronyms are FCM

I think it could be a Jed Mercurio thing why I'm not enjoying it, the Bodyguard ended up leaving a huge number of questions frustratingly not remotely answered, and I'm getting the same feeling with LoD. Every ep just seems to create more and more doubt to the point where you don't know wtf is going on. That's maybe the idea but then it also risks losing people because they just don't care. They've lost me, I'm out. Given how many people are watching this I'm obv missing something but hey ho.
