I cannot believe that any PHers did not grow up with friends (the show) in their lives.

I’ll be watching it. I thoroughly expect it to be a massive cringe fest, but it’s either that or enduring hollyoaks from the missus.

I've watched the first half hour of it and it's not too bad.

I'm sure I'll be made to suffer through it at some point.

Two words that are really putting me off "James" "Corden".

The problem with it, and in the same vein the Inbetweeners Reunion is that, when it's first announced it's made to seem like a new, special episode of a much-loved series (like it or not, 'Friends' is still huge now). When, in reality, it's going to be the cast sat around pretending they're all mates and talking sickeningly sweetly about how great it all was etc.

I'll be watching it for sure but the thing that makes me cringe is when these Yank reunion shows get the actors to re-enact past scenes. Notice Matt Leblanc has put on the timber since leaving Top Gear.

I've now watched all of it and it really is quite good.

Yes, there's bits that some won't like but it's worth a watch. I'm no fan of Corden either but there's not enough of him to annoy people. Couple of famous faces make an appearance and towards the end, it gets a bit emotional too. As someone who was a fan when it was on, it's worth 100 minutes of my time.

I enjoyed it.

Do you think they’ll do a British cut of it without Corden in?

I can't understand why they don't just make a couple more episodes/tv movie etc. It would be incredibly popular and make a lot of money for all involved.

If he was only in it for a millisecond then there would still be too much of him

Yup, love ‘Friends’ but James Corden being involved takes the shine off before I have even watched the Reunion thing.

You'd better believe that I've never watched an episode of Friends. Vive la difference!

There’s really not much Corden in it at all. If you’re in your 30/40s and you grew up with it then it’s definitely worth a watch

It will also make you feel old

I hadn’t been paying attention and when I spotted it this morning I thought it was a new episode. Still an interesting watch.

Very sad to see Matthew Perry has clearly suffered over the years and its taken its toll. It did seem like there was some tension between him and the others, he certainly didn’t seem to get as warm a welcome the others did.

Worth a watch.

Just edited to add don’t let the cordon bit put you off, he makes it about him for about 5 mins then disappears.

A truly fantastic series of its time. 99% of it is still brilliant.

Corden is dreadful. He’s been out there that long he is putting on his English accent - he sounds like the pompous auctioneers off chasing classic cars!!

He seems to have adopted that strange Obama way of speaking..... where he says words..... takes long pauses....adding drama

He was ‘troubled’ whilst the show was still on air so imagine the intervening years have been pretty hard on him - he clearly looked pretty uncomfortable through most of it, like he really didn’t want any attention focussed on him. Shame really.

Obama is a world class orator.

Corden just has mental difficulty combining words together to form cohesive sentences.

Personally I think it would be really terrible.

Those reunion episodes never work and always tarnish the memories of things you enjoyed.

They are moments in time that could never be recreated or recaptured well.

The last thing anyone involved with Friends needs is more money - I think they are probably doing alright, even the lowest level catering guy probably makes big figures on the repeat fees each year hehe
