Anyone else see this the other night? Even as a regular Chris Packham fan it fair took me by surprise. It was quite heavy-duty with regards his past mental challenges. But I still thought it was good and well worth doing. The Daily Mail review the next day was a bit negative and asked why any young person would take any advice from a (near) 60 year old. But I think that missed the point; I think that (if they would by chance have watched it), young people would learn something from an older person on this issue and that would especially be the case if they also had conditions like his.

Chanced on this the other night and although I'm not a fan of his found it a charming watch.
I did wonder about how many of the "chance" encounters were just that?.

A good watch & quite emotional in places. Reminded me of some lovely walks at a nearby nature reserve with our rescued Retriever earlier this year in spring time when we had some fantastic clear blue sky days just like the day this was filmed. Sadly Xavier is no longer with us after being hit by a car in April

Packham parades his undoubted mental problems like a battlefield wound, and the BBC indulges his ego.

Chris spoke of his elderly father, and in the credits at the end it said his father had since passed away, which is sad for Chris, what with his mental health,

A worthy record of the beauty of the Hampshire countryside. I commend Chris for his bravery in sharing his past difficulties, I do hope anyone in similar positions take some solace as intended by him.
