Walter Presents - The Devil's Throat
Discussion
i'm a big fan of all things Walter Presents
from refusing to watch any sub titled programmes i'm now addicted especially to Scandi Noir
The Devil's Throat appeared on my sky new series listings
set In Bulgaria - watched the first two episodes of twelve last night and its superb
Teodora Duhovnikova is super sexy as Mia - enough said
as with all sub titles/translations there a couple of hilarious misinterpretations - watch out the the radio/orgasm ones!

I watched Ep1 and just couldn't get past the hilariously bad acting and decades old stereotypes. It was like watching something from the 1980's but filmed with a modern day production team and kit.
And then there's the ludicrous plot details - how did they not spot the sheep's eyes straight away FFS, rather than at the 3rd detailed time of looking?

i think it truly depicts that Bulgaria is a long way behind modern western technology in medicine/forensics
also you will notice that the hospital scenes are not dressed up to look like an A&E say in UK/Germany - dirty pillows being one thing together with cracked wall tiles etc
the mortuary is from say 1960's UK - and a real depiction of Bulgaria after years of neglect after being part of the Soviet Bloc
the series producers in my opinion have not shied away from the shortcomings in their country especially the racial tensions on the influx of Muslim migrants
