I've no idea what this is. But I'm pleased you're pleased about it.

I might put a film on.

It's the final of the US Open. But we both know you knew that really.

Enjoy your film.

Indeed, C4 have paid Amazon a 7 figure sum apparently - which Amazon are donating to women's grass root tennis. Playing the long game...

Or a charitable donation to reduce their tax bill……

BBC lost out again, maybe pay champagne socialists Emma Barnett, Clive Myrie and Hew
Edwards less and buy some decent prime time sport.

They're showing the highlights on Sunday......

Agree with above, well done Amazon for sharing and donating to charity and well don C4. I read this morning that HM Govt., were asking for a free to air showing to boost UK confidence

As posted on the Tennis thread in the Sports subforum, the BBC were never in a position to secure live rights to the game anyway. Saturday night is Last Night of The Proms, so if they had secured live coverage they'd effectively have had to move that to BBC2, or BBC4, away from the traditional slot on BBC1 which would then have massive volumes of compaints from people, including the press, that the BBC have destroyed a yearly institution like The Proms for a tennis match.

We all know how many people complained earlier in the year about there being too much sport when certain tennis matches at Wimbledon were kept on BBC1, whilst other shows were pushed to BBC2 or postponed, then same again during the coverage of the Euro's, and when the Olympics were on.

As said above it's better than C4, as a commercial broadcaster and with a commitment to trying to show more FTA sports (including highlights packages), stepped in to secure a deal as it appears it's mainly been funded through the expected advertising revenue once the slots were resold based on the new schedule.
