I know this is a drama documentary with amazing actors but wow!

I do imagine some of the scenarios did occur. Heartbreaking.

Hard to find words after watching that. Felt like I was witnessing a microcosm of what was being reported on a daily basis.

Trying to think of a TV programme/series with Stephen Graham in that wasn't brilliant.
And Jodie Comer is a bit lovely isn't she.

I don't watch many drama programmes, but looked forward to this and wasn't disappointed..
Last thing I watched was "The Investigation"!

Hard-hitting stuff, very few holds barred and exposed how care homes were literally dumped on with infected patients - so they could clear hospital wards..

Having had a grand parent in residential care with alzheimer's, it was a very hard watch. Fantastic acting throughout though.

Just watched it on catch up, just brilliant. I didn't really want to watch any covid dramas because it still feels a bit current but this was excellent.

Agree with the above. Powerful stuff and a masterclass in acting.

Just watched, brilliantly acted, brilliantly shot and how shocking.

The bit that showed the home with the residents having visitors and loved ones visit before the illness starts got me.

All of those scenarios and more, some far worse. Heartbreaking for residents, families, and staff. Each and every ‘character’ is familiar. From Tony to Polly.

Slightly lost it’s realism with Sarah kidnapping Tony as I’m not sure any staff would do this. However I do believe there will be some future PTSD and perhaps Sarah’s actions reflected this.

The last 30 mins jumped the shark for me TBH. I think it would have been better to end straight after the 20 hour shift. I do get that final scenes where an attempt at showing Sarah trying to "protect" Tony but it all just felt a bit convoluted as if the writer didn't have an ending.

Definitely. All my colleagues have agreed.

I’m my opinion a more realistic ending would have seen Sarah continue to thrive as a carer making a positive difference to the home, residents and families. Working hard to protect herself and the ones she loves only to lose her job through choosing not to take the vaccine (genuine reason/human rights choice) now it’s become legislation, then spiralling in to debt and despair. Because that’s what’s happening.

Yeah that would have been a more sensible ending.
I assume it would have been written sometime towards the end of last year and filmed in early spring this? So before the government decided to make care home worker vaxx mandatory.

Haven't got my head around the need for carers to be vaccinated, as it doesn't stop the carer catching Covid or passing it on, just hopefully lessens the effects?
