New series on Netflix from the writer of Haunting of Hill House.

almost finished the series and its absolutely outstanding. Great acting by Hamish Linklater. Would highly recommend.

Yes, ive just finished the second episode and really enjoying it so far. We also really enjoyed the haunting of hill house that a lot of the cast were also in.

I'm 3 episodes in, it's very good, but can be a bit too slow.

Yes I agree, I can see the story developing but good grief it crawls through the story. I actually havent gone back to it for a few days just to break it up a bit.

Well that’s 7 hours of my life I’ll never get back. Another load of self indulgent crap. Slow doesn’t begin to describe it. It simply went nowhere at all. It was just a way for someone who possibly had a bad experience as an altar boy to have a pop at the Catholic church and pretend he’s being clever suggesting angels are vampires. Both of them are fiction, neither exist, so why pretend to be clever?

As for the mood setting by having either a 5 minute ranty sermon from the priest, or even worse a near 10 minute hymn every episode. Jesus wept, what a car crash of a show. Reminds me of last year when I sat through the whole of that similarly self indulgent turgid Devs.

I need to learn that when something seems like crap to just accept it and move on and not keep watching in the vain hope that it might improve.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this.

I liked it, all the way up to the final episode which was just ridiculous.

It is very slow though.

Struggled through to the end...it is a VERY slow moving story which then completely changes pace and rushes through everything at the end. It was just dross, really was. Predictable, obvious, just another vampire story in isolated middle of nowhere America. Really, terrible.

I just came on to say exactly this!! I suffered my way through it because it was getting good reviews, so I thought it must get better. Does it hell. A certain speech at the end which was supposed to be profound was the final straw. Could have been really good, but just isn't. I hated ALL of the characters and just wanted everybody to die so it could end.
