Currently indulging in a guilty pleasure of mine, on ITV4 now but nearly finished.
Makes me wonder though, there is no way I would want this film to be remade, but, with modern day technology, could it be totally remastered, sound and vision? I for one would pay to see it in an IMAX.

It'd look even more shonky than it already is. Even back in 1980 i suspect it was supposed to look deliberately crap. Been planning to rewatch it for a laugh anyway.

Yes there's that fancy remaster.

For anything to look really brilliant on Imax you'd need a 70mm master and the Flash Gordon 70mm is just an blown up 35mm.
