When was the last time Bruce Willis made a decent movie?

Glass in 2019 was semi-decent.
It's become a running joke between the missus and myself when we scroll through Netflix and see "would you like to continue watching Breach?".
Because what a singularly massive moist turd of a film that is.
The fact that's he's credited as an actor in 21 (!!) films released since 2020 means his talent seems to be stretched pretty thin.

I think we have an illusion that actors should all be thespians who bring Shakespearian levels to the characters they play.
The reality is for many, is that they go to work like everyone else, and when their agent rings them up and asks if they would like $5 million for 12 week's work, the answer is always going to be Yes please.
Also Bruce plays Bruce. Directors know exactly what they will get and how many cinema seats they will fill because Bruce is in the film.
When he becomes to old to realistically play these characters then we may see a change, but looking at the DeNiro, Pesci, Pacino age enhanced film recently he may be playing John McClane for some years to come

There's a lot of actors, historic and current, that people get melty over yet have no true range whatsoever. The reality is for many, is that they go to work like everyone else, and when their agent rings them up and asks if they would like $5 million for 12 week's work, the answer is always going to be Yes please.

What can be great is when filmmakers have the vision, skills and balls to cast against the typecasting some fall into - Samuel Jackson's character in Django was superb.

Theres a thread on another forum about how Bruce Willis seems to be appearing very briefly on lots and lots of recent B rated films, walk on parts etc, films you have never heard of. Strange.
He's been churning them out in the last few years - hilariously his expression on the posters for each film is exactly the same.I love these trivia nuggets for "10 Minutes Gone":
"Bruce Willis filmed all his scenes in one afternoon"
"Bruce Willis' scenes were shot entirely at the hotel he was accommodating during filming."
He’s been in a lot more mediocre and s
t films than good ones. There’s been a few on Netflix in recent years that were some of the worst straight to TV dross I’ve ever seen.
These were the only good films this century:
Looper
RED/RED 2
Surrogates
Lucky Number Slevin
Sin City
Unbreakable
The Sixth Sense
I haven’t seen Split or Glass and didn’t know they were sequels to Unbreakable until seeing this thread and looking them up.
His best films were Twelve Monkeys and Pulp Fiction. First two Die Hards were good, but became parodies like Lethal Weapon sequels after that.

Love all those films and generally love BW's back catalogue, he's been in some crackers.

Missus and I sat down and watched the Unbreakable/Split/Glass trilogy a few months ago. Enjoyed them all. James Macavoy is really good in Split.
