3 eposodes available now. Lots of cash spent but jesus it’s the slowest “Invasion” you’ll ever see.

3 hours in and virtually nothing has happened of any great interest. Character building and scene setting have a fecking limit!

Just finished the third episode. Bloody hell, what a chore that was.

Glacial pace, two dimensional characters and no plot. Literally nothing happens.

Odd because it’s clearly cost a fortune. Did it not occur to anyone that some brutal editing might be in order?

I’m going to cut my losses and bin this. A shame as I had high expectations for it going by other SF shows. For All Mankind is amazing and Foundation is back on track after a couple of duff episodes so I thought this would be of a similar standard. A pity…

ETA I didn’t know that New Scientist reviewed telly but they are bang on with this brutal review…

Must have cost them a fortune but very very slow, gave up on it half way through the second episode.

I don’t know if I’m overthinking things but I couldn’t avoid connecting the school boy having a seizure whilst listening to 24 hours by Joy division on his headphones in episode two and Ian Curtis’s health problems.
If it was an in joke it wasn’t a funny one.
Otherwise I’m quite enjoying the slow pace of it.I’ll have to as I have subscribed to Apple TV for a month now.

It's pretty awful. Not wasting any more time on this.

I actually didn't mind the slow pace of the first 3 episodes at all. Spent time with some characters, and the use of silence and background sound added a bit of mood to some of the scenes.

But then I realised there was only 10 episodes in total so I'm effectively 1/3 of the way through the season, and well, see what others have posted.....

Is it just me or have others had difficulty with the volume level of the spoken dialogue? I ended up leaving the subtitles on for the entirety of all 3 episodes.

Production quality on a number of these subscription service series seems very good, but at the expense of pace. Down to the need for more ads? Or just eeks it out for not much more cash?

War of the World's, Last Man, Treadstone etc etc. All seem a bit lacking.

Episode 4 and Jesus Christ it's slower than a tortoise with no legs.

Not an Alien, Alien Tech or hint of a feckin' Invasion to be seen.

4 hours!

This is just taking the p*ss now.

There was an alien but it was only onscreen for 1sec , I had to rewind it to check.
Gonna be a busy last 3 episodes!

Well, after writing it off (without even watching it) based on reviews and this thread, just found out my daughter’s schoolmate is in it and she wants to watch it with me.

Sounds like she’ll get bored after an episode or two.

Oh…oh…oh…episode 5 of 10 and somebody has actually mentioned that there’s an Invasion going on…right at the end of the episode…which spoilt the whole soap opera vibe that has been built up over the last 4 hours 55 minutes.

Ok...episode 6 and a complete 180° turnaround. Now I'm watching A Quiet Place the TV series.

Still, action and tension at last! Just the 5 hours to wade through to get there.

Don’t agree with Foundation, at least the visuals make up for the slightly lacking storyline. Invasion is sooooo slooooow.

Just finished Ep4, starting Ep5. Really hoping it picks up hehe
