Landscapers on Sky
Discussion
I’ve just finished watching the first episode and it was so bad I immediately deleted the rest of the episodes from the Sky planner.
Was the director on drugs? The music during the scenes - s
t. The angry DCI character, played by someone who looks like he’s late teens - s
t. The fading to black & white then colour again - s
t. The neighbours - s
t actors.
The scene in the car heading to St Pancras about the long scotch eggs - s
t. The police cars all stickered up with black & white stripes - why? The quantity AND type of police waiting for them at St Pancras - why? The behind-the-scenes shots during the end credits - why?
Just an absolute mess.

Funny how tastes differ, we thought it was excellent and really enjoyed it.
Same here. It's quirky but I think rather clever. The story's told mainly from Susan Edward's (Coleman) perspective. She was obsessed with film and the old black and white Hollywood classics to the point of delusion that her life was in fact a film. This explains the odd transition of scenes into over-saturated black and white and scenes played on obvious sets - the premise being that this is how she herself would have seen those situations for real.
Not for everyone but I liked it!
