Hi,

So I just finished watching True Blood a series that was around 10 years ago which I liked to watch first thing in the morning at the weekend, it was about a variety of plots involving humans living alongside vampires, witches, faeries, werewolves and shapeshifters and I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for tv shows that are easy to watch and don't need a lot to think about?

I also like something that doesn't take too much thinking first thing in the morning. So I've recently been watching The Outpost while eating breakfast.

Shows that are similar:
The Vampire Diaries
Buffy
Angel

I love True Blood, thought it was very good.
Most programmes of this genre are fairly awful and more of a week to week thing. Grimm was ok for a while (C level prog), Lost Girl look OKish.
Carnival Row looks interesting though I've not seen it yet, I can only think of Penny Dreadful as the same level/type as True Blood.
Maybe American Horror Story?

Heh already watched Buffy and Angel 20 years ago. Buffy was great. Nice to see she could also do cruel characters too in Cruel Intentions.

I watched Penny Dreadful on account of loving the actress, you should see her in The Dreamers..

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look them up.

Kinda after any TV show that doesn't require much thinking on a Saturday or Sunday morning.. Was hoping for ones though that are dealing with mythical creatures, I am trying to spark up my imagination and creativity.

Give Hemlock Grove a go.

There's also Bitten though that's weaker.

Grimm is probably right up your street.

In that case then, Once Upon A Time and Sleepy Hollow might be up your street.

Oh there's also Carnivale, it's 20 years old and was cancelled after one series, and it was excellent, ahead of it's time, it's not easy going though, it's layered and you have to pay attention.

Sleepy Hollow was just a film AFAIK and yes loved it, but I am looking for TV series for longevity..

I watched the BBC Merlin recently when it was available on iPlayer. Totally daft and enjoyable fun. Arthur and Merlin have to be the greatest ever TV bromance.

It's worth watching just to see Victor Meldrew with long hair.

Just started watching Cursed.
Gustaf Skarsgård (Floki from Vikings) was a good choice as Merlin.
