Rock till you drop
Discussion
No intention to watch this but was flicking through channels on the first ep. Only saw last 20 mins but old but youthful
rock chick hooked you in.
Since then it has been a bit of a waste of time. Old people used to playing rock and pop twisted into what the youthful presenters want.
That very nice 77yo lady forced to sing reggae songs and the disabled drummer struggling to adapt.
Obviously the performance at the IOW rock fest was s
te and they lost no doubt due to the coma inducing reggae effort.
Notice non of them were interviewed after.
Another BBC low in the many lows.

I've watched the 4 episodes, the auditions, the first practices, the first gigs and the IOW fest.
Really enjoyed it, I guess I'm a bit older than you.
You have to remember these people were all musicians but not necessarily "rock" musicians and the youngest was 64. The oldest, dropped out in the second episode was 95. A dance band drummer from the 40's and 50's, it was just too exhausting. The base player with Covid was a music teacher and the drummer in the wheelchair had been a jazz drummer all his life. Just a different tempo and style as was explained.
OK so they weren't GnR or AC/DC but they all enjoyed it, had fun which was the main thing. I don't think Toby or Martin would attempt it again, hadn't heard of Lady Leshurr TBH.
