Anyone else noticed this plague? Seems to afflict all modern Australian programs.

Married at 1st sight - full on "batman" style dun-dun-dun-dun-dun ramping up music in the background whilst two people are chatting about something minor.

Gold Hunters, Opal Hunters, Outback Truckers - christ, we get a full on dramatic score from the rear surrounds whilst a guy is changing a bloody wheel on a lorry. You'd think Ethan Hawke was about to absail down into shot.

All of them. It's like one production co. does all Aussie TV.

I notice it particularly as I sit at my desk by the rear surrounds.

Mrs turns the surround off now on all Aussie TV.

How VERY dare you!

I'll have you know that both Aussie Gold Hunters & Outback Opal Hunters are high quality, in-depth docu-series.

Always amazes me people feel like chipping in on threads they have absolutely no relevant contribution to.

I'm not complaining how "st it is", I'm asking about the audio on Australian TV.

If you have something based on the question I asked to contribute, brilliant, if not, there are plenty more threads you can be all judgemental about.

Run along now.

My girlfriend is Australian and will watch any kind of st TV, the stter the better. She admits British TV is ahead of Australia in this respect, and will happily watch the Masked Singer/Dancer, Britain's got Talent, Goggle box, X Factor, Strictly, The Voice, I'm a celebrity, Love Island, Dancing on Ice, anything with Any and Dec in, you name it she will watch it.

She was also glued to Married at First Sight Australia when it finally aired here.

I despair to be honest, it must be an Australian thing.

My other half finds Married at 1st sight Australia hillarious. It's a window into the vacuous and self absorbed. I found it fascinating until the second I found out they are not indeed married at all.

I really enjoy Aussie Gold Hunters, and can enjoy the odd Opal outback hunters. Outback truckers is a case of flipping channels and catching 10 minutes of it by accident , then changing chanels again. It's a show where man gets lorry stuck in mud, has flat tyre, or is late for delivery. That's it. No more than that (and yes, the background music is ramped up like a nuclear strike is impending - whilst he's changing an air line coupling - that's thei thing I noticed that is consistent throughout all of the shows).

Obvs all my other TV time is spent watching Mastermind The Champions, Politics Now, The Economics Show, Parliament Question Time. etc etc etc.
