I don't particularly like the show, but it's mindless crap that I have on in the background towards the end of the working day

But one thing I just don't understand, the person who is trying to get the final jackpot counter out is answering questions and says "Sport for 3 please"

The woman on right now seems to have said "For 3" on all categories. Why would you ever say anything less than 3?! I'm assuming if you get the answer right you get 3 counters to play, so I just don't get why you'd ever want fewer than 3 counters to play?

Yes, it's a rubbish show, and maybe this is a Mumsnet question, but it really bugs me that I don't get this bit.

The questions get easier the less counters you go for. So you could a very easy almost guaranteed 1 counter or for go for 3 and get it wrong and get none

3 counters = hard question
2 counters = bit easier question
1 counter = even easier question

If you have a little bit of knowledge on the subject choosing 2 counters or even 1 makes a difference to you getting the correct answer

Supposedly the amount of counters determines the difficulty of the question I’ve always assumed.

What often amazes me about Tipping Point is how many people have no idea how to time the release of the counter, which most of the time results in a 'riding' counter.

Yes, I'm a bit of a fan of the program (for the quiz aspect).

I have a feeling it's the same question. No matter how many counters they go for biggrin

Seems that way, i don't see any difference between the "easy" and the "hard" questions, they are all piss easy. biggrin
