The Man Who Fell To Earth (2022) - TV Series

Useless fact of the day - the last person to speak to Eleanora Tevis (nee Walker) the (second) wife of Walter Tevis the author of The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Queen's Gambit and The Colour of Money was my mother.
Eleanora called my mum to wish her a (premature) happy birthday just before committing suicide by throwing herself from the roof a church that adjoined her New York apartment. My mother knew there was something wrong with her friend from her university days because she had called to wish her a happy birthday two weeks early and she'd never got the date wrong before.
Eleanora was very protective of Walter Tevis's IP, and it is notable that it was only with her death that this and The Queen's Gambit have been dramatised for TV.

Now in the UK on Paramount +; if you like intelligent sci-fi and great acting (yes and that description includes Rob Delaney) then it's well worth a watch. It cleverly builds on events from the 1976 film. There's not the shock and awe (gore?) that you get in The Boys, but it's a treat watching these two shows progress....
