OK, let me start by saying, generally, I'm a fan of Romesh.

I like his travel shows, him in King Gary and on The Weakest Link - Generally, I find him genuinely funny, so I'm definitely not interested in banging the "BBC-Woke-Rubbish" drum.

I recorded the first episode of Avoidance, hoping it'd be better than the trailer suggested.

10 minutes in my wife said "I'm not enjoying this, let's give up". I decided to give the whole episode a try, but I gave up around 20 minutes in.

I struggled to raise even the mildest of smiles - Was it even supposed to be funny?

Anyone feel differently?

I’ve not seen it yet but isn’t it supposed to be more of a serious role rather than an out and out comedy?

Wifey and I are really enjoying it so far…. very dry from a humour standpoint.

Bailed out after the first episode. The attempts at humour were forced and none of the characters engaged me at all.

Thought I might like it but nope.

Couple of episodes in and I'm quite enjoying this. Someone described the humour as 'dry,' with which I'd agree - not laugh-out-loud hilarious but there are some nice little touches.

(The fact that I'm totally in love with his sister doesn't come into it of course.)

Best avoided... though I wasn't expecting something as good as Doctor Foster, this really was painful to watch. Got 3 quarters through the first episode.

Best stuck on BBC Three, never to be seen again...
