Has disappeared from my Sony Android TV (Freeview). Channel 106 "BBC Four HD returns soon." across the whole schedule. Anyone know what's going on, or is it a glitch just for me?

Was looking forward to Trom and had to watch in fuzzy resolution.

They've removed the mux it and a few other HD channels were on to free up some space for mobile comms... Is IPlayer an option for you?

This is true for BBC News HD which is no longer on Freeview, whereas BBC4 HD will exist and be more widely available...soon.

What about "Forces TV"? I was enjoying Classic Dr Who on a weekend morning. Gone from Freeview and Sky.

I will miss Forces TV the most, the nostalgia factor was very high from this channel.
Blakes 7, Dukes of Hazzard, Doctor Who, Chips, the list goes on...

I can use iPlayer and cast to the TV, or get iPlayer on the TV. But it's a lot of faff. Also there's no guarantee (I don't think), that it will be HD as it 'optimises' the bitrate depending on your connection speed, so I could end up going through all that and watching in SD anyway.

Forces TV - current channel 96
BBC News HD - current channel 107
QVC HD - current channel 111
QVC Beauty HD - current channel 112

BBC FOUR HD, CBeebies HD, Together TV will get new channel slots

However longer term the BBC plan to move BBC 4 to an online only broadcast (as they did with BBC 3 for a few years)
there is an irony about the above as BBC 4 is considered to be for the oldies and BBC 3 for the yooth
Yet its the oldies that tend to pay the licence fee
I dont really know anyone amongst my daughters friends (daughters aged 13 and 2 in their 20s) who actually say they watch BBC 3

Other changes are CBS justice ending (towards the end of its life it was ridiculously similar to CBS action
The Horror channel has become Legend and is now a mix of Horror/ Classic SciFi Tv and Action movies - they showed Extreme Prejudice on Saturday

It's annoying as the program content on BBC 4 is so much better suited to HD.
