Agree, it's the cop out for everything at the moment.
Although I think the big issue for this will be the annoying bloke who plays the flash, just don't get/like him
The multiverse has been a comic book staple in DC and the MCU for a long time, allowing writers to undo or change many aspects of the stories told whilst being able to have many "versions" of the same character which all remain true, in their own little world. Makes sense when you consider these characters have decades of stories behind them. Although I think the big issue for this will be the annoying bloke who plays the flash, just don't get/like him
I like the way it's being used in modern films, more so in DC at the moment allowing us to have different actors play the same character at the same time. Although it's funny how the Bond franchise never needed this, we just accept every film is basically it's own story with little impact on the world. Craigs run was one of the first times they've done a connected story over multiple films and even with that we'll all be turning up to the next one without needing to have the ending of NTTD explained away.
I cannot wait for The Flash, I thought the trailer was all amazing and the film looks better than I could have hoped. The fan service looks well balanced with a really strong story. If nothing else seeing Keaton back is worth the price of admission alone.

Can't possibly think why they're pushing Batman so heavily and not the man in the lead role............
Given how they’ve already already cancelled a load of stuff I’m amazed this is still going ahead given the baggage on board.I suppose it says a lot about how they want to go from here.
