Dunno if we're allowed to post YouTube links on here? I seem to remember there being something funny about it?

I have a question about small build channels on YouTube with people making / building / restoring cars in a small shed somewhere.

There's a few I follow but I wondered what other ones people know about.

@FabCoUK is quite a big one. But it is just one chap building the Allegro sleeper for Jonny Smith amongst other projects
@PeteCswampy has an obsession with the Ford Cortina and turns around well gone cars and gets them back on the road
@LivingMyBoostLife puts Saab turbo engines into vans and weird cars

Not necessarily renovation, but Colin Furze puts motorbike engines in TukTuks and mobility scooters, as well as making crazy jet powered bikes and flying things.

Fortunately he always wears his safety tie, so there's nothing to worry about.

yeah he's great.

Me and my young son were laughing hard at the recent Weebles Woble episode.

I'd say so... I think I had it in mind to mention that one at the beginning but it's a long time since I watched anything on there so couldn't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

It's a large shed, but how about tank repairs ? It's a bit like car repairs but with more V12s and hammers.

Finnegan's Garage

Folk who watch a lot of hot rod and muscle car stuff will probably be aware of Mike Finnegan and Blasphemi but as well as his Motortrend shows he runs a youtube channel based in his home garage which is just him working on his own fleet of cars, trucks and boats.

I used to watch that but it somehow disappeared off my list.

I'll admit that I've dropped off a bit recently, he's struggled to find a format that works for him since David Newbern left the channel.

Got a lot of really cool builds on the go just now though.

The v8 doing a burnout and making loads of v8 noise gets a bit boring after a while.

Shed Racing - featuring Ivan Dutton (founder, now retired, of Bugatti restoration specialist Ivan Dutton Racing) building, fixing and generally playing with various interesting old cars in a big old shed on his farm.

Watched the Fiero one all the way through. Recently saw a documentary about the Fiero and it's an overlooked car. Nice to see someone doing one up.

@Garage54ENG - the Russian Lada modification show. They've done some mad things on that like making wooden pistons for an engine and then trying to run it. Also welding two engines in line to make a straight 8 (I think it was). They also built a Lada with about 4 differentials in it to gear it down so much it was tearing the tarmac off the street while trying to pull something really heavy. Very funny channel.

I'm a large fan of Spank Ranch Garage.

Start with this one:

For the diagnostics.

Bonus VW Buggy content.

Home Built By Jeff is one of my favourite channels, he doesn't seem to be phased by anything, from a bare metal respray to upholstering a dashboard and everything in between. He's not shy and showing his muck ups either which is a refreshing change.

I really rate The Dirthead Shed too, it's Dave Chappelle from the former Dirt Every Day show doing his own stuff at home, he's got some brilliant fabrication skills and puts out some great work.
